Lymphatic Drainage Facial in Jacksonville, FL
Puffy mornings, a jawline that fades after a salty dinner or a long flight, and under-eye bags that make you look tired.
Our lymphatic drainage facial in Jacksonville, FL is a light-pressure facial massage that moves pooled fluid toward the lymph nodes of the neck. Puffiness eases and contours look clearer the same day. At Coastal it is the finishing step of our Platinum HydraFacial and an add-on to a facial from our menu. Danielle Hancock, Licensed Aesthetician and certified ZO Skin Health Expert, performs it.
What Is a Lymphatic Drainage Facial?
A lymphatic drainage facial is a slow, light-pressure massage that moves fluid out of the face. The strokes guide it toward the lymph nodes in front of the ears, under the jaw and at the collarbone. Your lymphatic system has no pump of its own, so fluid pools where skin is thinnest: around the eyes and jaw. You see less puffiness and a clearer contour the same day.
What it helps:
- Morning puffiness and under-eye bags
- A soft, heavy jawline after salt, alcohol or poor sleep
- Sinus-season fullness around the nose and cheeks
- Dull, tired-looking skin before an event or photos
Lymphatic Drainage Facial vs. Regular Facial Massage
A regular facial massage kneads muscle with firm pressure. Lymphatic drainage uses barely more than the weight of the hands, because lymph vessels sit just under the skin. Every stroke travels one way, toward the nearest nodes.
How a Lymphatic Drainage Facial Works at Coastal
Manual, with gloved hands over a light serum or the cooled jelly mask: no suction, no needles, no heat and no downtime.
Two Ways to Book It
What it is not. This is a facial, not a body lymphatic massage, a detox or lymphedema therapy. Swelling that stays, hurts or affects one side needs a clinician first, and ours are in the same suite.
Why Jacksonville Chooses Coastal for Lymphatic Drainage Facials
You leave with less puffiness and a plan for anything a facial cannot fix. The difference is who performs it and what it is built into.
What Makes Coastal Different
- A licensed aesthetician does the work. Danielle Hancock performs every facial here and reads your skin first
- Built into a real facial. The Platinum HydraFacial cleanses, exfoliates and extracts first, so the glow outlasts the de-puff
- Nurse-practitioner-led. For hollowing, Dr. Olivia, DNP, APRN, can talk about under-eye filler in Jacksonville or PDGF under-eye treatment; for fullness under the chin, Kybella in Jacksonville
- Honest about results. A visible, temporary reduction in puffiness, not a “detox”
- 5-star rated on Google, with Cherry payment plans and zero downtime
Every new patient starts with a free skin consultation. Danielle looks at where the fluid sits and whether this facial, another one or a clinician is the right first step.
Who a Lymphatic Drainage Facial Is For
Frequent flyers, allergy sufferers, tired new parents and anyone with an event who wants to look rested.
Sound Familiar?
- “I wake up puffy and it takes until lunch to go down.”
- “My jawline vanishes after sushi night or a glass of wine.”
- “I fly for work and land looking swollen.”
- “I have a wedding this weekend and want to photograph well.”
After Botox or Filler
Pressure can shift fresh product, so we book this facial before your injectables or about two weeks after, as in our lip filler aftercare guide. Tell Danielle the date of your last Botox or filler visit.
Tell Us First if You
- Have an active infection, cold sore, rash or sunburn
- Are sick, feverish or have swollen lymph nodes
- Have lymphedema, are in cancer treatment or have a condition that causes swelling
- Had facial surgery without your surgeon’s clearance
- Had Botox or filler in the last two weeks
Pregnant? You are not excluded. Ask about adding it to the Mama Glow facial.
What to Expect at Your Lymphatic Drainage Facial
About 60 minutes for the Platinum HydraFacial, then straight back to your day.

Before Your Facial
Arrive makeup-free and hydrated, and mention recent injectables or illness. For the Platinum, skip retinol and exfoliating acids for two or three days because of the dermaplane.

During Your Facial
Cleanse, exfoliation, extractions and serums come first, then the cooling jelly mask with ice globes. The drainage closes with slow, feather-light strokes from the neck up and the face outward.

Right After
Contours look softer and clearer, and the under-eyes feel lighter. There is no redness from the drainage, so head to dinner or the airport with SPF on.
Event coming up? Book one to two days before so you photograph at your least puffy. The dermaplane and HydraFacial serums keep skin bright after the de-puff fades.

Book My Free ConsultationWhat You Feel Over the Next 24 to 48 Hours
The results are real and temporary. Here is the honest timeline.

Right After
Lighter contours and less heaviness around the eyes and jaw. Drink water, keep SPF on and skip tight hats or face-down naps today.

That Evening
You may feel thirstier as the fluid clears. Go easy on salt and alcohol, and sleep with your head slightly raised.

The Next Morning
Usually the least puffy point: a sharper jawline, brighter under-eyes and makeup that sits better. Schedule the photos for this morning.

48 Hours and Beyond
The de-puff fades over a few days; the HydraFacial glow lasts longer. Most patients repeat every two to four weeks, in line with how often you should get a facial.
Puffiness and swelling are not the same thing. This facial eases ordinary fluid from salt, sleep, travel and allergies. Swelling that is one-sided, painful, warm or lasts more than a few days needs a clinician first. Imaging studies of facial edema trace it to blocked lymphatics, infection or conditions no facial should treat. Dr. Olivia, DNP, APRN, will say so.
Cherry Payment Plans
Financing made easy through Cherry: instant approval, no hard credit check, and 0% APR options on qualifying plans.
Patients can get pre-approved for a Cherry payment plan, which can be used for any of our services. Terms are 3-24 months.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is lymphatic drainage facial worth it?
Yes, if your main complaint is puffiness, under-eye heaviness or a soft jawline that comes and goes with sleep, salt, travel and allergies. The change shows the same day and peaks the next morning. It will not fix hollowing, loose skin or swelling that never goes down; the free consultation sorts out which.
What does a lymphatic drainage facial do?
It uses light, one-direction strokes to move pooled fluid toward the lymph nodes of the neck. You see less puffiness, clearer contours and brighter skin. At Coastal it closes the Platinum HydraFacial, after the cleanse, extractions, dermaplane and jelly mask.
How long does a lymphatic drainage facial last?
The results are temporary. Most people look their least puffy the next morning and hold it for a few days, longer with good sleep and less salt. The massage closes our 60-minute Platinum HydraFacial; when added to another facial, ask the front desk how much time it adds.
What are the signs you need lymphatic drainage?
Waking up puffy, under-eye bags that fade through the day, a jawline that softens after salty food or alcohol, and a heavy face after flights. Those are fluid patterns, and they respond well. Swelling that stays, hurts, feels warm or affects one side is a medical question first.
How often should you lymphatic drain your face?
Professionally, every two to four weeks keeps most faces near baseline, plus a session one to two days before an event. Between visits, a few minutes of light strokes from the center of the face out and down help. Pressing harder does not; lymph vessels respond to light pressure only.
Is there a downside to lymphatic drainage?
For healthy adults the facial version is gentle; the main downside is that results are temporary. Skip it during an infection, fever or illness, and with lymphedema, a clotting disorder or a condition that causes swelling unless a clinician clears it. We also schedule it away from fresh Botox or filler.
